Embedding provides your users a window into external content from inside your Synthesis intranet. Embedded content can enable functionality beyond native Synthesis features while maintaining an integrated user experience.
Synthesis provides support for three different embedded content types. An entire web page, such as System Status and Employment Opportunity list, can be embedded via a URL. Embedded content from third party publishers, such as Office 365 forms, PowerBI dashboards, and Lucid Chart floor plans, can be included via embed codes. Custom built applications can be embedded using custom HTML, JavaScript, and/or CSS code.
URL
When embedding content via a URL, the entire web page is rendered inside the Synthesis page block, similar to an iFrame. The URL for the site being embedded must be available via HTTPS. For example, the external System Status page can be embedded via URL: https://status.knowledge-architecture.com/
Embed Code
Embed codes are short bits of HTML provided by a third party publisher for insertion into other web sites. Most publishers feature a "Generate Embed Code" function that can generate embed codes for specific content or functions. For example, the @cjparchitecture instagram feed can be embedded using this code:
