Initially, your S6 environment will be in Staging Mode. In staging mode, you must explicitly grant staging access to users brought in from Azure Active Directory for them to view or edit the site.
This allows your intranet team to configure employee directories + profiles and add employee blocks on pages before all employees have access to the intranet.
In addition, while in staging mode, email notifications including @mentions, promoted posts, and the weekly email are enabled for all users with Staging Access, but will not be sent to users who do not have Staging Access. This allows your intranet team to configure your intranet and test functionality without disrupting the rest of the firm.
When you are ready to go live on Synthesis 6, our team will switch you to Production Mode. This will give all active users access to the intranet and enable email notifications.
