Users Can Complete Courses + Learning Paths
Learners will be able to complete courses and learning paths.
Transcripts
Learners can view their own learning history. Learning Center Administrators can view transcripts for all courses and learning paths. Instructors, Facilitators, and Learning Path Managers can view transcripts for the courses and paths they manage.
Dashboard Tab v1
Learners can view courses they’re currently working on (In Progress) and courses they’ve added to their Queue to take next. Additional features will be added in version 0.8, as described below.
Add to My Queue
Learners will be able to add courses and learning paths to their Queue—a personal learning list that helps them keep track of what they want to explore next. This feature is designed to support self-directed learning by making it easy to organize and prioritize future learning activities.
LMS Analytics > Feedback Tab
The Feedback tab in the Learning Center will give Learning Center Administrators visibility into learner feedback across all courses. Instructors, Facilitators, and Learning Path Managers will be able to view feedback related to the specific courses and learning paths they manage.
Pilot Users + Production Mode Available
With the 0.7 release, Learning Center Administrators can now add a limited group of pilot users into Staging Mode. This allows you to begin using Synthesis LMS with a small audience, test content and assignments, and build confidence before making anything broadly visible.
When you’re ready, you can switch the Learning Center from Staging Mode to Production Mode, making it live and accessible to all employees. Until now, beta participants have been working entirely within a private staging environment; Production Mode is the moment where that work becomes real for the whole firm.
Version 0.71 Release: LMS Search
Q1 2026
Integration with Synthesis Search
LMS content will appear in search results, including AI Search and Classic Search.
Version 0.8 Release: Assignments, Recommendations, + Notifications
Q2 2026
The 0.8 release will introduce assignments and recommendations, giving firms new ways to guide learning across the organization. Courses and learning paths will be able to be assigned manually, automatically using filters like title or years with the firm, or globally to all employees. Smart and global assignments can also be made ongoing, ensuring that new employees receive the right training as they join.
In addition, employees will be able to recommend courses and learning paths to each other, with suggestions appearing on the recipient’s dashboard and via email. These new features will make it easier to deliver structured training while supporting peer-to-peer learning across the firm.
Basic Assignments
Manually assign a course or learning path to one or more employees.
Smart Assignments
Automatically assign courses or learning paths to employees using filters such as title or years with the firm. You’ll have the option to make Smart Assignments ongoing, so they apply automatically when employees meet the criteria set in the filters in the future.
Global Assignments
Assign a course or learning path to all employees across the firm. You’ll have the option to make Global Assignments ongoing, so they automatically apply to all new employees going forward.
Recommendations
The Recommendations feature allows any employee to suggest a course or learning path to a colleague. The recipient will receive an email notification and see the recommendation on their Dashboard, under the Recommendations section.
Email Notifications
Learners will receive email notifications for key events such as new assignments, overdue tasks, and new recommendations. Instructors, Facilitators, Learning Path Managers, and Learning Center Administrators will have access to a range of customizable notification options—such as alerts for overdue assignments, new course completions, and course feedback. Each user can tailor their preferences to stay informed without being overwhelmed.
Dashboard Tab v2
The updated Dashboard will include additional sections for Upcoming Assignments, Overdue Assignments, and Recommendations—giving learners a clearer view of what’s next, what needs attention, and what’s been suggested for their learning journey.
LMS Analytics > Activity Tab
The Activity tab will provide detailed insights into learner engagement—such as video plays, link clicks, and lesson completions. This data will help Learning Center Administrators, Instructors, Facilitators, and Learning Path Managers audit learning activity and understand how courses are being used across the organization.
Version 0.x Roadmap: Committed, Not Scheduled
Timing TBD
The features in this section are confirmed parts of the Synthesis LMS roadmap, but they are not yet scheduled for a specific release. We’re sharing them to give you visibility into what’s ahead and to affirm our commitment to building these capabilities, but without locking in a specific order or timeline.
This approach allows us to stay responsive as we move through versions 0.5 through 0.8 and beyond. We want to leave space to learn from real-world use, both in the private beta and public beta, and to prioritize the features that will create the most value for the community. Our goal is to build the smartest product in the smartest possible order guided by feedback, not fixed assumptions.
Certificates of Completion
Generate downloadable records for CE credit and audits.
Advisor Role
The Advisor role will allow trusted individuals—such as managers, mentors, practice area leaders, or office leaders—to support their advisees’ learning journeys. Advisors will be able to assign courses, review progress, and access transcripts, activity logs, and analytics for the employees they support. Advisor-advisee relationships will be established using mapped custom fields in the employee directory, ensuring each learner is connected to the right people for guidance and oversight.
Smart Course Blocks
Embed course lists (e.g., “Revit Courses”) on intranet pages through blocks.
Employee Profile Integration
Display selected learning history on employee profiles.
Responsive Design
Optimize the Learning Center for display on phones and tablets.
LMS Analytics > Users Tab
The Users tab will give Learning Center Administrators a user-centered view of learning activity across the firm—including courses assigned, in progress, overdue, and completed, as well as learning paths completed. This feature provides a high-level snapshot of each learner’s engagement and progress within the LMS.
Content Optimization Integration
Learning Center content will appear in Synthesis Content Optimization, giving you a unified view of how content is being used across your entire Synthesis platform. This makes it easier to track engagement, identify high-value resources, and spot opportunities for improvement—whether content lives in the Intranet or the LMS.
Synthesis Data Connector Support
Expose Learning Center information via the Synthesis Data Connector.
